General
When a member accepts a service advertised on Kiwibuyers, any resulting arrangement or transaction is strictly between the advertiser and the member.
Kiwibuyers does not act as an agent for either party and is not involved in the delivery, negotiation, or completion of the service.
Terminology
- Service Advertiser: A member listing a service in the Member Services category.
- Member Service(s): Any business, trade, or professional service advertised by a Kiwibuyers member within this category.
Business Membership and Listings
If you register a business membership to list in the Member Services category, Kiwibuyers reserves the right to restrict or limit your ability to list physical products for sale using the same account.
Obligations of Service Advertisers
Service Advertisers on Kiwibuyers must:
- Be based in New Zealand and only offer services within New Zealand.
- Avoid duplicate listings for the same service.
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date listings, including relevant qualifications, service coverage, pricing, and timeframes.
- Include all pricing in NZD and GST-inclusive amounts. Tax compliance is the sole responsibility of the advertiser.
- Respond to member enquiries promptly, ideally within two business days.
- Only include a website URL that directly relates to the advertised service.
- Only include phone numbers in the designated contact fields—not in image overlays or listing descriptions.
- Agree to have your email address shared with members who enquire about your service.
- Not submit false or misleading feedbackor ratings on your own or others’ services.
Obligations of Members Using Services
Members engaging with a Service Advertiser must:
- Ensure they are legally able to enter into an agreementwith the advertiser.
- Agree to their email address being providedto the Service Advertiser for communication purposes.
- Understand that all payments and termsare arranged directly between the member and the advertiser.
Raise concerns or issues directly with the Service Advertiser before leaving public feedback.
Ratings and Comments on Service Advertisers
Kiwibuyers allows verified members to leave ratings and comments about services they’ve used. When submitting feedback, members must confirm that:
- They have personally used or received the advertised service.
- The feedback relates specifically to a service listed on Kiwibuyers.
- Factual statements are true and not materially misleading.
- Opinions are genuinely held and based on personal experience.
- Comments are respectful, free from profanity, defamatory statements, hate speech, or personal attacks.
Kiwibuyers is not liable for user-generated feedback and may moderate or remove content at its discretion. We do not endorse or verify user comments or ratings.
Moderation and Content Responsibility
While Kiwibuyers may monitor content to ensure compliance with our standards, we are not responsible for screening all feedback, nor can we guarantee that all posted content is accurate or appropriate.
We reserve the right to modify, hide, or delete any ratings, comments, or listings that violate our terms, policies, or applicable law.
