Kiwibuyers Buyer Payment & Safety Policy

At Kiwibuyers, we’re committed to providing a secure, trustworthy, and transparent marketplace for all members. As a buyer, you play a key role in keeping our community safe and fair. Please read and follow the guidelines below when making purchases.

Secure Payment Methods

We recommend all buyers use secure, trackable payment methods when making purchases on Kiwibuyers:

  • Credit Card
  • Direct Debit (as authorised through your bank and Kiwibuyers)
  • Other secure payment gateways made available through the platform

Using secure payment methods helps protect you in the event of disputes and provides proof of payment for both parties.

Fraud & False Payments

By using Kiwibuyers, you agree that:

  • You must notmake fraudulent, false, or unauthorised payments.
  • You must notuse stolen credit card information or attempt to deceive sellers or the platform.
  • Any attempt to carry out payment fraud may result in your account being suspended or terminated, and may lead to legal action.

All payment activities are monitored, and suspicious transactions may be flagged for investigation.

Paying with Cash – Safe Pickup Guidelines

If you choose to pick up goods in person and pay with cash, we strongly recommend:

  • Meet the seller in a safe, public location, such as:
  • A shopping mall
  • A police station’s designated trade zone (where available)
  • A busy café or petrol station forecourt
    • Avoid isolated areas or private addresses unless you know the seller personally and trust them.
    • Take someone with you if possible and let someone know where you’re going.
    • Confirm the item matches the listing before handing over any cash.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring safe meetup arrangements, and buyers should use common sense and caution at all times.
